The Trusted Advisor: What General Counsel Should Know About the CEO, Board of Directors and Collaboration

Today’s general counsel is more than just a lawyer — she must also be a skilled business partner, collaborator and guide to the board of directors — all while keeping the company’s primary objectives in mind. At the same time, she is often entrusted by the CEO with sensitive and confidential issues and must balance both legal and ethical obligations and take swift action when legal issues arise.
